Clock-In Blocked: Signing Facility-Required Documents

Oct 11, 2026 · @Meir

What changed

Some facilities now require you to sign specific documents (for example, an agency staff training acknowledgment) before you can clock in to a shift at that facility. The VeeShift app checks for these signed documents at clock-in and blocks you if any are missing.

This is a facility requirement, not a VeeShift policy. It takes about a minute to complete, and once signed for a facility you will not be asked again for that document.

How to know you are blocked

When you tap Clock In, you will see a red screen titled Blocking Policy Violated under the heading Facility Required e-sign Policy. The message names the exact document you still need to sign, for example: "Clock-in was blocked due to missing signed documents: please sign Ellisville Agency Staff Training before your shift."

If you see this screen, nothing is wrong with your account or your shift. You just need to sign the named document and try again.

How to sign the document and clock in

1.      Close the blocker screen by tapping the X in the top right corner.

2.      Go to the Home screen in the VeeShift app.

3.      Look for the green card with a pen icon directly under your shift card. It reads Sign [Facility Name] Agency Staff Training with Click here to complete underneath.

4.      Tap the card and complete the signature.

5.      Return to your shift and tap Clock In. The block clears immediately. You do not need to log out or wait.

You can also find the same document in your email. Either link works, and you only need to sign it once.

Clock In button keeps loading and no blocker appears

If you tap Clock In and the button spins without ever showing the Blocking Policy screen, your app is on an older version that does not know how to display the block. Update it:

1.      Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and search for VeeShift.

2.      Tap Update if one is available.

3.      Fully close the VeeShift app. Swipe it away from your recent apps, do not just return to the home screen.

4.      Reopen the app and tap Clock In again.

5.      You should now see the Blocking Policy screen naming the document. Follow the steps in the section above to sign it.

If the button still spins after updating and restarting, check that you have a signal or Wi-Fi connection, then call support at the number below.

Avoid the block before your shift

Sign e-sign requests the moment they arrive. When you pick up a shift at a facility that requires documents, the app sends the request to your email and places the signing card on your Home screen right away.

•        Check your Home screen after booking any new shift. If a green Sign card is there, complete it then.

•        Watch for emails from VeeShift with a signing link, and check spam if you do not see one.

•        Do not wait until you are at the facility. Signing takes a minute, but doing it in the parking lot at shift start can make you late.

Facilities treat these documents as a hard requirement. A missing signature can result in a late clock-in or a facility refusing the shift.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to sign this for every shift? No. Once you sign a facility's document, it stays on file. You will only see a new request if the facility adds a new document or updates an existing one.

I signed it but I am still blocked. What now? Go back to the shift and tap Clock In again. If the block remains, fully close and reopen the app. If it still appears, call support.

I don't see a Sign card on my Home screen. Check your email for the signing link. If there is nothing in email or spam, update the app and restart it. If the card still does not appear, call support and have your shift date and facility name ready.

Will I be marked late while I sign? The clock-in time is recorded when you successfully clock in. Signing beforehand is the only way to avoid a late mark, so complete the document as soon as you receive it.

Does this affect clocking out? No. The document check only applies at clock-in.
