Timesheet Payment Guide

💰 Provider Payroll & Payment Guide

This guide explains how payments work on VeeShift, how to avoid delays, and what to do if something looks wrong with your timesheet or pay.

🕒 When do I get paid?

Once your shift is approved for payment, payment is typically sent within 1 hour.

If your shift has not yet been approved, payment cannot be released.

⏳ Why might my payment be delayed?

Some shifts require a manual review, which can delay payment for up to 48 hours (or the next business day for weekend shifts). This happens when the system needs to confirm details to ensure accurate pay. Your shift may be reviewed if:

  • Your shift was 13.5 hours or longer — long shifts are always reviewed before payment
  • A dispute was opened
  • Your hours appear too short
  • Your clock-in or clock-out was edited
  • You requested a worked break review
  • A signature is missing
  • You signed yourself out
  • Charting/documentation was not completed These reviews protect both providers and facilities and help ensure correct payment. [Image] Reviews happen during business hours (Monday–Friday). Shifts worked on a Friday or over the weekend are usually reviewed the next business day, typically Monday. You don't need to do anything — once the review is complete, payment is sent automatically. There's no need to contact the facility.

✅ How to avoid payment delays

Before leaving your shift, make sure you:

✔ Clock in and out correctly ✔ Complete your charting/documentation ✔ Obtain a facility signature ✔ Submit your break correctly ✔ Confirm your shift shows Approved for Payment within 10 minutes after clock-out

Your Review Status should say Approved for Payment shortly after your shift ends.

🔎 How to check your payment status

Open your shift and review these two fields:

Review Status

Shows whether the shift has been approved.

Payroll Status

Shows where your payment is in the process:

  • Pending → Waiting for approval
  • Approved → Ready for payment
  • Paid → Payment sent
  • Corrected → Payment was adjusted after being paid

✍️ Signature issues

If you don’t see the signature section in the app, your timesheet may not auto-approve.

👉 Update your app to the latest version and try again.

💵 Why was I paid $0 for a shift?

This can happen if the shift was approved before you clocked out, which causes a calculation error.

Contact support and the payment will be corrected and rerun.

🏥 Sent Home Pay (2-Hour Pay)

You may receive 2 hours of pay if:

✔ You clocked in within 6 minutes of shift start ✔ The facility confirms you were sent home

If you clock in late or leave on your own, sent-home pay does not apply.

⏰ Late Arrival & Pay Eligibility

Providers must clock in within 6 minutes of shift start to qualify for sent-home pay.

Arriving later than this window means sent-home pay does not apply.

📵 Facility Late Cancellation Pay (2 Hours)

Some facilities offer Late Cancellation Pay.

If a facility cancels your shift within 2 hours of the start time, you may receive 2 hours of pay.

⚠️ Important: Late cancellation pay only applies if the facility offers this benefit.

You can check this before picking up a shift in the Shift Details section.

🥪 Break deductions

A 30-minute break is automatically deducted unless the facility confirms you worked through your break.

If you worked through your break, submit a worked break request in the app.

📩 When to contact support
