When you need immediate coverage, Urgent Shifts allow you to increase the provider pay rate to attract more interest and fill the spot fast. Whether it’s a weekend, last-minute call-off, or overnight need, this is your go-to solution to avoid gaps in care.

💡 What Are Urgent Shifts?

Urgent Shifts are regular open shifts with an increased pay rate of $4, $6, or $8 added to attract providers faster. This rate bump is visible to all providers and designed to help ensure quicker pickup.

🛠️ When to Use Urgent Shifts:

• Shift posted with short notice (same day or less than 24 hours)

• High cancellation risk or previous provider dropped the shift

• Weekend, holiday, or overnight coverage

• Shift has been open for a while with no responses

✅ How to Activate an Urgent Shift:

You have two options:

1. Your facility admin can update the rate directly in the app

2. Or, your admin can authorize the VeeShift team to apply the urgent rate for you

Choose from $4, $6, or $8 increments, depending on the urgency and role.

Note: The urgent rate will reflect in your billing, as provider pay increases.
