What is a Secured Shift™?

A Secured Shift™ is a mutual commitment between the facility and the provider. Once a provider accepts a Secured Shift™, both parties are locked in.

This feature was created to promote reliability, reduce last-minute cancellations, and ensure facilities and providers can depend on confirmed coverage.

🔒 How Secured Shifts™ Work

For Providers

• Once you accept a Secured Shift™, your attendance is fully committed.

• If you cancel after accepting, a 30-day account freeze will apply.

• During the freeze, you will not be able to claim or request new shifts.

For Facilities

• Once a provider accepts a Secured Shift™, the facility is financially committed.

• If the facility cancels the shift, they are still required to pay the provider the full shift amount.

🚫 Provider Cancellation Policy

If a provider cancels a Secured Shift™ after accepting:

• Your account will be temporarily frozen for 30 days.

• You will not be able to claim or pick up new shifts during this period.

• Repeated cancellations may result in longer freezes, booking restrictions, or further account review.

💸 Facility Cancellation Policy

If a facility cancels a Secured Shift™ after acceptance:

• The provider will receive full payment for the shift.

• This ensures fairness and accountability for both sides.

⭐ Eligibility & Reliability Requirements

• Secured Shifts™ are only available to providers with a strong reliability score.

• Reliability is based on attendance history, late cancellations, NCNS incidents, and overall performance.

• VeeShift reserves the right to remove Secured Shift™ access at any time if a provider’s reliability score declines.

🚨 Important:
If VeeShift removes a provider from a Secured Shift™ due to reliability concerns, no compensation will be issued.

Facilities commonly use Secured Shifts™ for:

• Critical coverage needs (overnights, weekends, holidays, or last-minute coverage).

• Premium-rate shifts where attendance is essential.

• Building consistency and trust with top-performing providers.
